Export Leaders Project (ELP)

PalTrade’s new Export Leaders Program seeks to develop both the quality and competitiveness of Palestinian products as well as the capacity to manage companies efficiently in order to reach new markets. PalTrade will offer, for those new to exporting, firm level assistance by qualified consultants. The program will include training of staff, product design, pricing, logistics, management, and international marketing.

The ultimate purpose of the Palestine Trade Center sponsored Export Leaders Project is to assist manufactures to become ‘export ready’ and compete in the global market.

Targeted Beneficiaries:

Ten to fifteen Palestinian manufacturers with exporting potential, who are ready to commit themselves to the two to three year ELP;

What is the Export Leaders Project?

The Export Leaders Project (ELP) will provide programs, services and information material to assist potential exporters to identify the global market needs and make initial steps to successfully meet their potential. The primary objective of the ELP program is to support the Palestinian export industries to develop products, productivity and production capacity directed toward global markets. The ELP focuses these assistance activities on developing a company's competitiveness and export readiness. This new program will be coordinated with DAI/MAP to coordinate efforts and to capitalize on their previous experience.

Benefits

Companies that export realize many benefits. Some of the most notable are:

  • Increased sales and profits (most exporters have a significant portion of their sales from exporting, generally experience higher profits);

  • Seasonality (seasonal products can have extended sales periods);

  • Enhanced company image (serving global markets tells others you are accepted world-wide);

  • Market diversification (foreign markets can balance U.S. market changes).
