Ooredoo & PalTrade Signed An Agreement to Support "Baladi" Platform

Ooredoo Palestine has signed a cooperation agreement with the Palestinian Trade Center "Pal Trade" to support the "Baladi" platform with the aim of promoting Palestinian national products locally, and to provide an opportunity for producers in small enterprises, craftsmen and farmers to take advantage of the advantages offered by the digital space.

 

The two parties signed the sponsorship agreement at the Ooredoo headquarters in the presence of the company's CEO, Dr. Durgham Marai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Palestinian Trade Center "Pal Trade" Mr. Arafat Asfour, and this cooperation comes for the second year in a row, as part of the continuous efforts to consolidate cooperation to serve the national product, which contributes to empowering the Palestinian economy in modern digital ways and methods that allow the Palestinian community to benefit Various of these modern features. As the CEO of Ooredoo Palestine, Dr. Durgham Merhi: “We at Ooredoo seek to enrich people's digital lives by providing various services to subscribers on the one hand, and on the other hand through supporting and supporting projects and initiatives related to e-commerce in Palestine.”

The Center thanked Ooredoo for its sponsorship of the Baladi platform, and called on other private sector companies to do the same.

It is worth noting that the Baladi platform is one of the initiatives of the My Better Country campaign to support the national product, which was launched by the Palestinian Trade Center - Pal Trade - in partnership with Oxfam in 2017. It is - that is, the Baladi platform - a non-profit e-commerce platform that promotes and sells Palestinian national products of all categories. , So that it will be launched in the Palestinian market soon in order to support Palestinian producers who are owners of small and medium productive enterprises in particular, and to enable them to reach local consumers through an effective delivery network that covers all the main cities of the West Bank and Gaza Strip in its first phase.
